Day 12: Campeche - Valladolid

the day of limited success
- we had to turn around as a road was simply to difficult and to slow to drive
- we missed one of the major Maya sites (Mayapan) because of a directions
- the hotel in valladolid was a bit low in standard. e.g. the tennis court was almost to dangerous to be used as it was covered in moss and slime.

day 10 Special: Merida / Mexican National Independence Day

Dinner in restaurant / bar "Pancho's" with lots of Lime Margherita's, watching the firework on the roof terrasse - simple fantastic.
"Pancho’s – This is probably the first themed restaurant near the zocalo. It uses icons of the Mexican Revolution to achieve an ambiance like no other. The waiters wear sombreros and bandoleros stuffed with wine corks instead of bullets. They have a great bar, and their large patio is a lovely place to enjoy the unique menu. On Calle 59."

The next morning we watched the parade in honor of mexico's independence day.
